Role: Senior UI Designer
Focus: Design System & Visual Identity
Goal:
Lead the UX and UI design for ScoreBig’s mobile app—a ticketing platform offering interactive seat maps and discounted tickets for sports, concerts, and theater events. The project focused on redesigning the purchase journey, from discovery to checkout, while modernizing the visual language and improving usability.
Approach:

Developed the information architecture for search, selection, seat mapping, and checkout flows.
Designed a custom icon set and onboarding experience to support a clean, modern interface and faster user comprehension.
Partnered closely with product and engineering to validate design decisions through prototyping and iterative testing.
Design Challenges:
Simplifying complex interactions such as interactive stadium seat maps, dynamic pricing, and seat availability.
Reducing friction in the discovery, search, and checkout process while handling constraints like venue data and mobile responsiveness.
Updating an outdated visual system without losing the brand’s recognizability.
Solutions:
Redesigned the full ticket purchase flow by streamlining search, filtering, seat selection, and checkout into a cohesive, intuitive experience.
Created an interactive stadium map UI that allowed users to explore seat options with clear pricing, availability, and proximity indicators.
Designed a comprehensive iconography system that modernized the app’s visual language while improving clarity in navigation and actions.
Built a first-time user onboarding flow to guide customers through the key steps of finding and purchasing discounted tickets.
Ran multiple rounds of usability testing to refine navigation patterns, optimize seat map interactions, and simplify the purchase journey.
The redesigned app contributed to a reported 17% increase in completed purchases.
Improved user satisfaction scores related to navigation and ease of seat selection.
Established a modular design framework and iconography set that scaled across future product updates.
Simplified complex ticket browsing and checkout interactions into a mobile-first experience that balanced speed, clarity, and flexibility.
