LOS ANGELES CA
A new look for the Lollapalooza experience with artwork that connects different genres of music.
I provided a unique identity for the festival and has accelerated global promotional sales since 2013
Original website was kept unchanged for some time. It lacked color, artwork and engaging content. Festival experience had a circus vibe that needed updating
Assigment:
Entire brand experience was in need of a complete redesign. My artwork would become the groundwork for the festival’s new experience
Time to get moody 🙃
Mood Board Vibes:
Neon, Primitivism, Streetwear, Signs, Movement, Electricity, Voltage, Energy
Direction:
Creating an exciting atmosphere by combining my own style and vibrant direction with the brand’s ecelectic history
Character designs emphasizing different music genres, diversity, and styles. Incorporating vibrant color to appeal to different countries around the globe
Results:
This helped all visitors feel welcome regardless of musical interests or background
“Lucky Lolla”
An online site promotion page for visitors to win festival ticketsand prizes. I worked on the illustration, site page, and motion. Collaboration with Art Director and Head of Marketing for US
Color palette and city is unique to each location while keeping all six websites uniform with the artwork and bright colors
Internet / Television Spots 📡
Your tickets have arrived 🎟️
Illustration and Design:
Ticket packs and commemorative products
Festival Experience / Immersive Design:
Overlooked international marketing teams for design cohesion. Stage Design mimicked the website artwork to make visitors feel they are walking into the artwork.
Working with bright colors 🎨
The design for each city/country required its own color palette (websites, stage displays)
Design Process:
Creating graphic concepts to plan how the colors will work within the site and existing logos
Each of my characters represents a different type of music genre. I had a lot of creative freedom with this project, and I was able to expand my world into the entire festival. What has always inspired me is the raw energy that music creates, along with that primitive urge to move to it
Backgrounds:
Hipódromo de San Isidro
Argentina
Santiago Chile
Chicago United States
Sao Paulo Brazil
Berlin Germany
Paris France
Stockholm Sweden
New User Interface Design 🎛
Site maps, schedule times and photo filters all designed into the official Lolla app
